What’s Concentrate? 

When you isolate the more desirable properties of cannabis – the cannabinoids and terpenes – you get a substance called concentrate. Trichomes (the tiny hairs that cover the cannabis plant, giving it a crystal-like sheen and sticky feel) produce the oils holding the plant's cannabinoids and terpenes. Because trichomes get you high and deliver the flavor, they’re what we preserve during extraction from fresh-frozen plants.  

There are many cannabis concentrates in a variety of formats and textures. Concentrates with active cannabinoids are infused into edibles, tinctures, and topicals to provide effects without the application of heat. 

Live Rosin concentrate is made without the use of any solvents making the quality of the starting material paramount. At MFNY we breed, select, and grow the most trichome- and terpene-rich plants. We then flash freeze them right after harvest to preserve all the terpenes (aromas) of the live plant (the “live” part of the rosin). Rosin is created using a solventless multi-step process with the help of water, freeze drying, pressing, and whipping. The result is a pure extract that is high in potency and terpenes which reflects the plant's naturally produced cannabinoid profile, tastes, and flavors. The cost of starting material, amount of labor, as well as smaller but higher quality yields make this extract a premium product sought after by cannabis connoisseurs (compared to more massively produced butane hash oils). What’s Live Resin?

For our Live Resin concentrate, we start by growing the most trichome-and-terpene-rich plants. We then flash freeze them right after harvest to preserve all the terpenes (aromas) of the live plant (the “live” part of the resin). 

Live Resin badder is created using solvent (hydrocarbon) during extraction which allows the extractor to tweak more factors and control the outcome better than with other extraction methods. The hydrocarbon is then purged out of the plant material at freezing temperatures to preserve more terpenes and cannabinoids. The result has a rich flavor profile and soft, butter-like texture for an easy-to-use, super-enjoyable experience.

What’s Badder? 

What is Badder you ask? It’s a form of cannabis concentrate (we make it in live rosin and resin) that has a smooth and thick consistency. A consistency resulting from proprietary post-processing methods earned over years of hands-on experience. You may have heard of budder, but this is thicker, moister, and stickier (the consistency ensures a superior, easy-to-use experience with your preferred rig). 

You know a higher quality badder when you see and smell it: it has a lighter gold or translucent white color; and the aroma is intensely innate to the original plant.
